Well this is quite embarrassing…I know for this class we are
supposed to be reading the NY Times and what not, and getting real sources for
our news but I going to be real for a moment and tell you that the news is one
thing I can not stand. Everything about it just makes me upset or go on a rant.
I just never understood the
importance of knowing what was happening, especially when I was underage. I
mean all I heard about was all the bad that were happening never anything good.
And the worst part of it all was the fact that sometimes there were more lies
then truths, and that’s true even today. I think what got to me more was the
fact that I couldn’t voice my opinon and say “no, stop you lie, SHUT UP you
hypocrite!” In an case it just feels wrong to sit there and absorb something
you can’t change.
In any case I usually find out
what’s going on when someone brings it up while we’re talking. But the most convenient
ways of finding news for me is Facebook, twitter, and instagram. This might
sound a bit childish, but ever since I started this class, some days when I
grab a cup of tea or coffee I will grab a NY Times news paper hoping that
something interesting will catch my eye that isn’t a lie. Every once in a while
I find something and read it, but I have never made it a mission to find what
is going on in our world today. The news just doesn’t appeal to me; most of it
is half lies or whole lies.
